Late spring and early fall are the most popular wedding seasons, closely followed by summer. Winter is quite unpopular mainly due to harsh wedding conditions and which make impossible the naked shoulders and sandals. Wedding in the winter has other shortcomings, all derivatives of the cold weather – limited (but very out-of-the-ordinary as we will see in a bit) opportunities for an outside photo session and for an outside wedding ritual. The nearby honeymoon locations like Turkey and Greece are also not an option.

Winter wedding Inanna wedding agencyThere are, however, several good reasons to get married in the winter:

♥ Save money. All wedding vendors are less busy during the winter and they will be willing to make proper discounts. After Christmas celebrations, corporate gatherings, and parties, the period January – March is generally weak for the hotels and restaurants, except for the ones located in or near the ski resorts.  If your negotiation skills are rusty, your wedding agents will gladly and professionally do the negotiation part of the wedding planning.

♥ Get more choice. As the winter is not the most popular wedding season, you won’t have to reserve your venue of choice or your preferred wedding photographer a year in advance.  You will have plenty of time to shop around and pick the best of what the wedding market has to offer.

♥ Experience a unique photo session. The winter wedding pictures are particularly suitable for couples who like snow and snow-related activities like skiing, snowboarding, etc. With the right photographer, you can let your imagination go wild and have wedding photos different from the standard the bride and the groom with the wedding bouquet staring at the horizon. You can see a wonderful example of an interesting winter photo shoot with our friend Kamelia, who, besides being a very gifted photographer, also has the needed levels of boldness and creativity.

Winter wedding Inanna wedding agency♥ Go to the Maldives for your honeymoon. If you get married in July and August, you will have to stay away from the Caribbean, because of the hurricane season. The perfect vacation weather for the Maldives, South Africa, and the Caribbean happens to be during the winter, so if you tie the knot in January you can enjoy these marvelous places and get back to the office all tanned and relaxed while your colleagues are fighting the winter traffic.

♥  Control your guest list.  The fact that travelling is more difficult with all the cold and snow during winter times can turn into an unexpected blessing. Imagine that the distant relatives whom your mom would definitely like to be present and you barely know are not able to make it because of the difficult travel conditions. Wouldn’t this be a relief?  The guest list control can turn backwards and can make it difficult for some of your dear guests to come – you should have a plan B for such situations.
